For our Global Snapshots team we are looking for a Business Development Manager
WHAT’S THE TEAM?
Global Snapshots is a Nielsen solution that provides quick access to market data from all over the World. Global Snapshots help Nielsen’s clients to make strategic decisions on international market entry, acquisitions and new product development.
WHAT’S THE JOB?
In this role you will be driving Global Snapshots, working with diverse clients, from the Headquarters of Global FMCG companies to smaller local clients. You will be responsible for the end-to-end selling process cooperating closely with the Norwegian and Finnish Sales Teams. You will be the one briefing projects effectively to the Global Delivery Team. Never a dull moment!
Key responsibilities:
- Develop go-to-market sales plan to achieve your revenue goal for Norway and Finland
- Proactively hunt new business opportunities outside the existing or traditional Nielsen client base
- Partner with local and international commercial teams to identify and convert opportunities for Global Snapshots
- Assess client needs, manage client expectations and translate needs to project requirements
- Write effective proposals based on client needs and global data availability, follow up, negotiate and close.
- Effectively brief the operational team on project requirements
- Contribute to local and regional projects and initiatives to drive the Global Snapshots business.
- Liaise with peers in other countries to share best practices and contribute to business development projects.
WHAT’S THE PERFECT CANDIDATE?
Are you a sales-oriented person, passionate about sales, revenue growth, and new business opportunities? Are you a deal closer, comfortable in influencing your clients at senior levels? Would you like to work in a dynamic international environment? If your answer is yes, we are looking for you!
Key requirements:
- At least 3 years’ working experience within Market Research or FMCG industry (e.g. from Marketing, Trade Marketing, Category Management departments)
- Very good understanding of market research/market data and/or consumer goods industry
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field
- B2B sales experience is an asset
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong relation-building and communication skills
- Fluent in Norwegian or Swedish
- Fluent in Business English
- Fluency in Finnish is an asset
- Nielsen’s products knowledge is a strong asset.
