Findus is a part of Nomad Food LTD. Nomad Foods being Europe's leading frozen food company with a turnover of 2.1 MEUR, and approx. 4600 employees. Our Nordic Cluster in Findus is Findus Norway AS, Findus Sweden AB, Findus Denmark and Findus Finland Oy. Findus Norway has approx. 300 employees with head office in Asker and two factories in Tønsberg and Larvik. Findus Sweden has approx. 220 employees with head office in Malmø, a factory in Loftahammar, and an additional factory in Brålanda (Toppfrys AB, part ownership). Findus Denmark is part of the head office in Sweden with sales representatives locally. Findus Finland has approx. 30 employees, with head office in Vantaa. The Nordic companies operates in several sales channels in total; Retail, Foodservice, Special Foods, Industry and Private Label.

Our Supplier Assurance team is reorganizing and are looking for a colleague to join us in our Nordic cluster.
As a Supplier Assurance Manager in the Nordics you will be part of the Nomad Foods Supplier Assurance (SA) team. The SA team is responsible for quality related to sourcing of food raw materials, packaging and finished goods including material co-packed in to our brands. Some of the tasks connected to the position is monthly reporting of supplier performance to the factories, escalation and monitoring of supplier issues. Support the SA team development and training program. Conduct supplier audits according to the Supplier audit program focusing on GMP, ethical, responsible sourcing and authenticity etc. Contribute to development of key suppliers with focus on driving product and packaging quality improvement plans, including delivering against agreed quality targets. Support productivity projects with suppliers. The SA team is responsible for supplier and product risk management. SA is a Group function and a service provider to 13 factories and 13 Marketing Unit offices spread across Europe. In the Nordics the main responsibility is to serve 4 of the factories and 3 Marketing Unit offices.
In this role you will interface with production managers, planners and quality department in the 4 factories, and with Procurement, R&D, Logistics, Consumer Services and Operations Leadership. This will give you a broad network within the company. External interfaces in the role is suppliers of all categories of raw materials and co-packed materials and various types of packaging, cold store management, distribution centers, local authorities and customers.
To succeed in this role, juggling tasks and relevant interfaces, we suggest you familiarize yourself with some of the following characteristics.
- A higher degree in Food Science, Technology, Microbiology or similar
- Experienced in food safety auditing external and/or internal
- Skilled in HACCP
- Knowledge of raw material and or packaging
- Knowledge of food manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practice understanding
- Knowledge of some of the GFSI certifications, for instance BRC
- Knowledge of risks related to food and packaging, for instance food fraud, Allergene handling etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP ERP
- Independent and organized with a quality mindset
Seeing that our SA department is an international team it is important that you are comfortable in written and oral English. It is also essential that you understand Scandinavian languages seeing that you will support the Nordic factories.
This position contains approximately 30-40 travel days a year, due to team meetings, audits, trainings, conferences, factory visits etc. Additionally, there will be days spent at the different locations in Norway.
Findus Norway's head office is in Asker, whereas there is a possibility for the right person to have base in one of our Norwegian factories located in Tønsberg and Larvik.
