Solution Architect

As Solution Architect, you play a key role in building a holistic view and roadmapof the company's technology strategy, processes, and information technologyroadmap. You need to partner with both business and technology groups to ensurethat the proposed technical solutions not only align with the company's overallobjectives, but also ensures that both groups enable and drive each other tomeet the needs of the company's mission and vision.

This position is located in Stavanger, but Trondheim and Oslo could be considered.  

Duties and responsibilities

• Build the long-term strategic roadmap for Industrial IT foundation architecture.
• Analyse technical needs, requirements, and state of the industrial IT foundation design, integration, and operations.
• Develop design principles, models, plans, internal standards, budgets, and processes based on industry best practices to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company.
• Establish governing principles for industrial IT foundation design and deployment.
• Manage and facilitate a review board to evaluate project proposals for architectural fit.
• Lead teams of other industrial IT foundation designers and engineers in developing detailed designs and quality-control mechanisms during implementation.
• Communicate the role and value of the IT foundation to the organization and present the business case for technology investments.
• Perform various complexity solution architecture and design for modern DC solutions based on hyperconvergency, cloud/edge computing technologies and identity platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Statistics, or related quantative field required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience. 
• Comprehensive knowledge of architecting and designing modern DC and Cloud based solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of large hosting environments and datacenter build outs projects - more than 5 years of experience.
• Proven experience with large cloud services environment and other non-hosting but correlated services in the cloud - more than 3 years.
• Proven experience with Fog and Edge computing technologies.
• Experience in LDAP and Identity systems implementation.
• Familiar with building enterprise architecture roadmaps.
• Certifications on both cloud and on-premises technologies from Microsoft or other cloud services vendors - expert level desirable.   
• Ideal candidate would have proven work experience as a solution architect within mining, oil and gas or manufacturing industry .
