Aker BP targets to increase productivity, quality and flow efficiency throughout the entire value chain. Reorganising the value chain to collaborate with strategic partners, in alliances, smart contracts and other formats is one of the core strategic initiatives to achieve this goal. Commercial innovation will be required to drive such improvements.

This position belongs to the Commercial department and is fully dedicated to the Strategic Partnerships department reporting to VP Strategic Partnerships. 

You will be responsible for development and implementation of  commercial models/ contracts to support/ improve cooperation formats between Aker BP and Strategic Partners. Further, you will lead a commercial network in Aker BP and will drive Aker BP's efforts to improve commercial competence and capacity.

This position can be based either in Oslo or Stavanger. 

Duties and responsibility

  •  Develop and implement commercial models and  contracts to support and improve cooperation formats between Aker BP and Strategic Partners. Specifically alliances, smart contracts for high impact equipment and systems, next generation specialist services in a data platform enabled market.  The work will be done in close cooperation with Aker BP's business functions and our strategic partners.
  • Leverage best practice examples from other industries and competition where relevant.
  • Lead the Commercial Innovation Network (CIN) in Aker BP to support company's initiatives to restructure value chains through collaboration with strategic partners.
  • Build and develop a Commercial Academy program in Aker BP to strengthen commercial awareness and competence in the company in cooperation with HR, CIN and other external resources.

Qualifications

  • Education - business or engineering degree
  • Varied commercial background with a minimum of 10-15 years experience, preferably with solid understanding of both the E&P business model and the service sector
  • In depth knowledge of upstream economic value drivers and analysis
  • Good understanding of, and experience across, the E&P value chain and lifecycle
  • Ability to identify and conceptualize relevant learning from other/ related industries for implementation in Aker BP's value chains
