Graduate Engineer, Analysis

You will be an Analysis Graduate Engineer in our EMS Well and Flow Control (WFC), Analysis Engineering department, performing state of the art analysis and integrity services for WFC equipment. This is critical for delivering optimal products and systems, and support our clients with monitoring services and advanced online, digital solutions.

The team works as an integral part of product and system design, and have industry leading experts on structural analysis, wellhead & riser analysis, and fatigue & fracture mechanics.

Introduction to the Job
WFC equipment is core to all subsea production systems. It ensures safe drilling into the well, the well fluids are contained and the flow rate controlled at all time, enabling safe distribution of the hydrocarbons into pipelines for transport to the production facility. Our product portfolio consists of Workover-, Subsea Tree-, Manifold- and Interconnection Systems and tooling.

Our WFC engineering department include exposure to all phases of the product lifecycle, from product development into supporting our products in the life of field.

Job description
  • You will work as an integrated part of technical teams in project execution, applying structure analysis skills and tools in accordance with work instructions and guidelines
  • Understand customer needs and transform these requirements into product development and optimization
  • Interface with product responsible and lead engineers to perform product design analysis work
  • Drive design solutions, detailed design concepts and control of analysis by 3rd party
  • Participate in project start-up activities and contribute to project definition/planning
  • Assist customer support during installation and commissioning
  • Participate in department and global development activities and discussions to drive team, department, company and industry forward
  • Job is located in Kongsberg or Lysaker, Norway

You are meant for this job if you have

  • Engineering Degree (MSc) within Structural/Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine and Subsea Technology, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), or Physics/Mathematics
  • Good verbal and written English
  • Engineering degree with major area of study within mechanics, static and dynamic analyses, hydrodynamics, marine structures and subsea operations
  • Ability to learn new things and take on new challenges
  • Experience with common FEA tools (Abaqus, Ansys, etc) and preferably scripting
