Tasks
Our laboratory is studying the cellular processes and molecular interplay underlying the functions of the two most abundant proteins in blood, albumin and IgG. By combining structural and biophysical approaches with cellular and in vivo studies, we use the insights to design novel albumin and antibody molecules with improved functions. This particular project relates to studies of the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) and its relationship with IgG and albumin. The studies will unravel the basic structural and cellular mechanisms that govern the functions of FcRn. Such knowledge offers opportunities for development of novel drug concepts that will secure improved half-life and biodistribution.Qualifications
Specific requirements:
- Master-level education within the fields of molecular biology or immunology. Experience with in vitro methods such as ELISA and SPR is an advantage.
- Broad experience in molecular biology/cell biology techniques.
- Experience with culturing of cells and purification of recombinant proteins such as antibodies.
- Candidates must have strong proficiency in verbal and written English.
The application should include:
- Application letter, including research interests and the motivations for applying for this position.
- CV summarizing education, positions held, details of academic work, pedagogical and administrative experience and other qualifying activities.
