Role Summary/Purpose:
As an User Experience Designer at GE Vingmed Ultrasound you will be responsible for taking user experience of our world class diagnostic ultrasound scanners to the next level. You will work closely with our application experts and engineers to drive this.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Participate in the business-wide discussions relative to the future direction of design and user experience
- Guide effective documentation and communication of design - via wireframes, mockups, and requirements engineering
- Collect data and do analysis of UX for our products, use analytics for data driven decisions
- Perform usability studies
- Drive the work on funnel for new UX/Workflow ideas for our products, taking it from ideas to new product introduction
- Create UI prototypes, drive these through internal and external evaluations
- Follow changes through implementation phase
- Do usability validation
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in Interaction Design, User Research and/or Visual Design (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
- Experience with design of products / solutions that are essential tools for daily work
- Ability to multitask across projects in a cross-functional environment
Desired Characteristics:
- More than 5 years experience
- Experience with design of medical products
- Experience with close collaboration with customers, product management, application specialists and software engineers
