We Develop advanced patient simulators
Patient simulators are life-size manikins with advanced embedded technology that includes actuators and sensors, pumps, PCA’s and firmware. They typically communicate with external wireless devices.
The technology allows us to replicate human characteristics such as heart and lung sounds, breathing, limb and eye movements. Our simulators respond to clinical treatments such as medication. All of this is so that medical personnel can practice on patient simulators, instead of risking the health of actual patients.
Why is this important?
Quality simulation training has proven to reduce clinical errors.
Every day about 830 women die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. Nearly 50% of child deaths are Newborns.
We are committed to help save lives. In 2015 we set a target of helping save an extra 500,000 lives by 2020 and we are well on the way there. As a Product Developer you will contribute to this goal by helping develop training solutions.
