New challenges for Senior Safety Engineer in Aker Solutions

Aker Solutions have an open permanent position as "Senior Safety Engineer" in Aker Solutions Sandsli, Bergen.

At the moment 14 highly qualified Safety Engineers are working in Aker Solutions Sandsli. The engineers are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services.

Responsibilities and tasks:

•Design and follow-up of safety barriers such as; F&G design, firewater design and calculations, passive fire protection design, follow-up and implementation of 3rd part risk analysis, planning, execution and close-out of safety reviews

•Participate in the engineering of Front End,- Conceptual- and FEED Studies, M&M Projects in addition to major Modification- and Decommissioning Projects

•Contribute to the development of methodology, tools and competency within the Safety Dicipline

Qualifications & personal attributes: 

•Minimum 5 years’ experience of technical safety engineering and design from the Oil and Gas industry, preferably in Norway

•Higher relevant degree technical education, BSc, MSc or equivalent

•Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards

•Good communication skills written/spoken in both Norwegian and English

•Good cooperative and teamwork skills, flexibility, initiative and responsibility
