The Aker Solutions' Customer Management team based in Ågotnes, is looking for a diligent, independent and customer oriented partner who has passion for sales. Our responsibility is to develop business for the company with current and new customers. We need an experienced Sales Manager preferably from the subsea business who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the subsea service market. We are looking for a Sales Manager.

 

Responsibilities and tasks:

Sales Execution

  • Review and select the main opportunities for the geographic area to maximize positioning and winning probabilities through a Strategic Sales effort
  • Work in adherence with global process owner for Business Development to manage the targeted selection of relevant business opportunities
  • Execute prequalification and positioning for business opportunities under the mandate of the geographic area
  • Work together with key account manager to deliver winning strategies for key projects, communicate and manage resources accordingly
  • Execute sales process improvement initiatives aligned to process owner agenda
  • Work in the key account manager’s teams for the geographic area (or globally) in order to ensure execution of coordinated and consistent customer interaction across Aker Solutions
  • Contribute to the development of customer strategies together with the key account managers and the appropriate global functional owner in CM
  • Ensure an effective sales funnel for the assigned Clients/Products of responsibility in the geographic area, owning the prospects in the geographic area aligned with global processes
  • Drive standardized use of sales and marketing material from global functional owners

 

Interface towards tender process execution

  • Support tenders that fall under the assigned area
  • Ensure alignment and knowledge transfer across sales and tendering processes
  • Contribute to effective coordination across tender and sales

 

Interface towards partnerships and alliances

  • Execute partner and alliance initiatives relevant for own area and geographic area as needed and aligned to global alliance strategy

 

Qualifications & personal attributes: 

  • Bachelor's Degree within Commercial or Technical subjects
  • Relevant experience with Sales and Business Development
  • Desired technical or operational experience within Subsea
  • Extensive experience in managing tenders and business units
  • Proven results within sales and tendering
  • Proven results in creating business
  • Extensive experience in developing a productive and professional relationship with key personnel within your assigned customer account
