Arbeidsoppgaver
- The position's role and main responsibilities
The senior researcher/researcher will take part in comparative research on emergency preparedness organization and emergency management related to large scale emergency situations. A special focus is on the management of joint operations between different emergency agencies as well as private-public and civilian-military cooperation. Cooperation across borders is also in focus. Within the project, the testing of different management concepts in training and exercises using computer-assisted simulation will take place.
Relevant themes may be: - Crisis and emergency management issues
- High reliability organisations -intra- and inter-organizational links
- Organizational forms and managerial roles within emergency response agencies
- Civilian and military organizational structures and cooperation platforms
- International cooperation within emergency preparedness - organization of host nation support
- Training and exercise concepts for coordinative roles within emergency management
- Emergency management training schemes at different levels
- Computer-assisted simulation tools within management training
Kvalifikasjoner
- Professional qualifications, experience and education
Required qualifications: - As senior researcher code 1109: A doctorate degree or an equivalent education within social sciences, preferably within organization and management theory.
- As researcher code 1108: A master degree or an equivalent education within social sciences, preferably within organization and management theory.
- Proficiency in oral and written English
In addition: - The research idea/plan for the research period
- The candidate's motivation for the position
- Knowledge of Norway and geographical countries and sea areas in the higher north
