3D-Radar is looking for creative embedded engineers with passion to explore new and enabling technologies. The candidates will be an important part of our cross-disciplinary R&D team in Trondheim, improving our current product portfolio of embedded radar systems, and utilizing latest technology trends to develop the next generations of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems. The positions will be located at our R&D headquarter in Trondheim, reporting to the CTO.
FPGA Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, validation and deployment of commercial FPGA solutions for embedded systems.
- Proof-of-Concept studies based on recent FPGA technology trends, such as SoC, AI inference and RF integration.
- Develop signal processing solutions for high-rate and real-time data acquisition.
Requirements:
- Experience from commercial FPGA system design.
- Experience with high-rate signal processing and/or data acquisition.
- Familiar with best practice VHDL design, verification and simulation methodologies.
- Detailed understanding of FPGA hardware architecture, testbench design, synthesis, and timing analysis.
Senior Hardware Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Concept, design and development of embedded hardware, and FPGA based embedded systems.
- Development of mixed-signal high-rate embedded systems for RF acquisition and processing.
- Work with suppliers, internal production, and testing to ensure high-quality and ruggedized system integration.
- Support proof-of-concept and prototyping projects from concept to implementation, and validation.
Requirements:
- Experience with developing FPGA based embedded systems for high-rate sensor systems, e.g. seismic, radar, ultrasound, or video.
- Experience with mixed-signal high-rate FPGA systems, and familiar with RF design principles.
- Familiar with ruggedization of electronics and embedded systems design for harsh environments.
Embedded Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of embedded software and OS deployment on embedded devices.
- Low-level FPGA/CPU system integration, driver development, and bare-metal programming.
- Development of production test framework and scripts for automated testing of RF components, embedded modules and complete systems.
- Design and development of client-server applications with focus on server-side real-time processing of high-rate sensor data.
Requirements:
- Familiar with the Linux OS framework, driver development, and deployment on embedded devices.
- C/C++ programming experience and scripting in Python/Bash
- Experience with board bring-up, including development and deployment of Linux board support packages (BSP).
- Familiar with DIY and prototyping platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or ESP32.
