Hydro is not only a front-runner in aluminium products – we are at the frontline of Digital and Industry 4.0 as well. As a central actor in this development, our Information Systems organization is proving every day that digital solutions contribute to Hydro`s goal of becoming better, bigger and greener.

We established a digital initiative as a start-up in spring 2018, based on the Hydro digital strategy. Development of digital Proof of Concepts (PoC) has been carried out with emphasis on agile methodology and commercialization of digital products. The digital Proof of Concepts are fully business-driven, based on requests and initiatives coming from the business areas in Hydro.

As our product and service portfolio is growing, we are looking for creative talents to join our cross-functional teams, to contribute to this exciting story!

Area of Responsibility

You will work closely within an eco-system consisting of R&D, technology departments, Hydro production units, external technology suppliers, and research institutions. These are some digital focus areas for 2019:

• IoT
• Analytics & Data Management
• UX
• Robotics
• Digital Maintenance Tool Box
• Finance
• HR
• Procurement
• Logistics
• HSE
• Agile project management

We are interested in people who can contribute from the PoC stage to the hand-over to DevOps teams, and to implementing and adopting digital products in our business areas. We will be hiring for a range of roles, such as Developers, Data Analyst/ Data Scientist, Enterprise Architects and Project Managers.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with various professional backgrounds. You can be experienced in developing digital solutions, or a recent graduate:

• University degree, e.g. automation, IT, cybernetics, physics, electronics or business
• Ability to change to different teams and tasks
• Ability to consistently and efficiently produce high quality content
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
• Professional working proficiency in Norwegian, German or Portuguese is an asset, but not a prerequisite

As a person, we believe you are results-oriented and service-minded towards your customers. You combine an analytical mindset with a hands-on approach. Others perceive you as open, collaborative, and trustworthy, and you communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.

Additional Information

Information Systems in Hydro is a global organization, with hubs in several countries. We are currently 20 people working with digital product development and management, in close cooperation with Hydro`s operations and business.

You will join a diversified team with a mix of experienced and young talents, and work in one of our global hubs in Norway (Oslo, Årdal, Karmøy), Germany (Grevenbroich) or Hungary (Székesfehérvár).

The positions will require some business travel.
