Product Engineer Ship- Electrical and Automation

For one of our customers Clean Marine we are looking for experienced EL - Automation Engineer with background from maritime industry.

Clean Marine has developed a unique system for cleaning of exhaust gas within the maritime field of business. The system is flexible, efficient and competitive in the marketplace.  After several years of technical development and testing, including trial installations and operations on ships, final products are ready for the market, and we are now experiencing considerable growth. 

We are looking for a Product Engineer with knowledge and experience both within Electrical and Automation. Main task will include but may not be limited to:

Responsibilities;

• Verification and documentation of required equipment and installation work
• Prepare Technical documentations to suppliers, class and yards/clients
• Prepare software specifications, test procedures (FAT and SAT) and commissioning procedures to suppliers and site commissioning teams
• QC and QA of vendors, software tests, follow up on FAT and SAT of equipment supplies
• Liaise with Project- and site management regarding the supply of equipment and installation work
• Follow up, and at times participate in, commissioning and startup of systems

Desired qualifications;  

• BSc level or equivalent in electro/automation, instrumentation, ship electrician equipment. Candidates with education from Technical college will also be considered
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of current regulations and standards (marine class requirements)
• Knowledge of marine or offshore industries will be an advantage, preferably experience from project work with new construction or modifications.
• Good knowledge of rules and regulations, classifications
• Good knowledge of control systems and marine medium voltage power supply systems
• Knowledge of MS Office and AutoCad Light (ACLT)
• Extensive knowledge of one or more of the following subjects:
  • Power supply medium voltage systems, design/dimensioning/projecting/commissioning of medium voltage power boards
  • VFD medium voltage systems, dimensioning/projecting/commissioning of medium voltage frequency drives and motor control
  • Marine control systems, design/dimensioning/projecting/commissioning of PLC/HMI systems (knowledge to ABB is an advantage)
  • Process regulators, design, commissioning/tuning of regulators on site
