We wish to strengthen our team with an Engineering Project Manager!

Mission:

Ensure that assigned engineering projects are managed in a highly professional and customer focused way in compliance with both external and internal customer requirements and TDW standards, from first enquiry until the successful job completion.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Project management (70%)

•Plans, executes, and manages new development projects or departmental projects, including project costs, specifications, change orders, material procurement, safety, and timely project completion,
•Gains and applies a thorough knowledge of all aspects of project management including, but not limited to, products, ancillary services, applicable federal, state & local regulations, applicable codes, design standards, customer    relations, and field coordination,
•Works with appropriate people across the global organization/project team to make necessary adjustments to staffing and schedule to ensure completion of projects within budget and schedule, thus ensuring desired profit margins are met,
•Tracks the design, procurement, manufacturing, validation testing and realization phases of projects, ensuring tasks are effectively integrated and completed on time, according to the project schedule.
•Works on new product development and sustaining initiatives, following the NextGate process or the at time company approval process,
•Ensures quality assurance procedures take place for all technology decisions,
•Champions change and effectively manages the implementation of new ideas,
•Manages external partnerships with vendors/external technical contractors in accordance with established Quality Assurance guideline qualifications
•QA/QC requirement implementation in all projects.

 Project accounting (30%)

•Develops cost estimates for projects by defining scope of work and gathering internal and supplier cost information,
•Prepares project progress reports, including cost trends, etc. and submits to Engineering and general managers in a timely manner,
•Addresses and resolves all cost issues, utilizing the resources of the Finance and Supply Chain organization,
•Ensures business meets or exceeds budgeted capital objectives and project delivery dates.

Skills and qualifications:

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (or Business), MSc/MBA preferred,
•Minimum of five years of engineering experience with at least 1-3 years project management experience,
•PMP Certification preferred,
•Advanced user in MS Project,
•Demonstrated engineering product development knowledge and new product development process understanding,
•Knowledge of applicable pipeline codes preferred,
•Excellent written and oral, professional and personal communications skills,
•Intermediate MS Word & Excel and CAD skills,
•Ability to travel (internationally and domestically),up to 20% of the time.
