Information about the position

Academic Work is now recruiting developers for our client Norwegian Special Mission. The company is growing rapidly and we are therefore searching for new colleagues for their software team. Currently, they have four software developers, and an exciting backlog with several innovative projects for 2019

The company currently consists of some of the world's best engineers within aviation. They are now looking for a new colleague who will share their interest in airplanes and wants to help shape future flight systems. Norwegian Special Mission is leading in Flight Inspection Systems that controls aircraft navigation and landing systems, and is currently developing the next generation. They also provide solutions for Airborne Surveillance and Remote Sensing.

Responsibilities

Your workday will consist of programming in C, C ++ and C #. The products they develop are, among others, aircraft sensors, you will be an important asset when it comes to the development and continuation of software solutions.

You will be able to manage your own workday and you will to a large extent be responsible for solving the challenges that arise during the workday. Throughout the scrum-based process, you will still have good support in the team and everyone in the company will be contributors to both make you and the solutions a success.

You will also work with:

  • Integration with new sensors
  • Visualization of sensor data
  • Projection/calculations on sensor data
  • Tasks associated with online-based solutions in aircraft will also be relevant. There are tasks associated with architecture, collecting of radar data and thinking new central solutions

You will work with tasks most people do not get the opportunity to work with, and you will work closely with different industries in mechanical design, electronics and software. At the Norwegian Special Mission you will really be able to see what you are developing. You will be an important part of the design and also be involved in testing. You will participate in an innovative process and be thinking about new solutions in aircraft. Norwegian Special Mission work with concepts for VR / AR towards respective industries.

We are looking for the right candidate with these qualifications:

  • Education within IT, computer science etc.
  • You have a great interest in technology and programming.
  • You have a logical sense, understand programming and are willing to learn
  • Good English skills. Norwegian is not a requirement but an advantage
  • Clean record

As a person, you have the ability to acquire new knowledge, develop yourself, be creative and come up with new ideas, and last but not least, be curious.

  • Startup: By appointment
  • Stage percentage: 100%
  • Length of assignment: 6 months, with good opportunities for extension and permanent employment
