The Wireline Field Specialist is responsible for planning, preparing and deploying the range of wireline services at the client’s well location, onshore and offshore.
Fully in charge of delivering safe wireline operations and valid data acquisition, you are supervising your field crew, equipment and wireline operations at the Wellsite.
This position requires leadership, dedication, resilience and thoroughness as well as a good dose of common sense, an appetite for troubleshooting and being hands on.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role within the Wireline Systems Product Line based in Norway, in the Europe Region of BHGE and operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Delivers safe wireline operations and valid data acquisition at the wellsite
- Supervises crew, equipment and wireline operations at the Wellsite. Responsible of RA sources and Explosives inventories and tracking.
- Work onshore in the base to plan, prepare, load out, troubleshoots faults and complete follow-up report before and after wireline assigned jobs.
- Maintains job records, completes all necessary paperwork and updates all required reporting systems.
- Performs all required duties and responsibilities safely and as described by BHGE procedures and Managing the job Cycle
- Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, integrity and Baker Hughes Culture Pillars.
- Supervises the training of less experienced engineers and personnel. Be crew lead engineer on site for wellsite operations.
- Works with customer representatives and rig crews on location to coordinate operations with the rig or production facility.
- Bachelor or Master Degree in related subject (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geology)
- Previous experience in the Oil&Gas service industry
- Previous experience in a Field role is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate and communicate effectively with customer representatives at wellsite while managing and motivating your crew
- Experience with working in High pace and High Pressure environment
- Demonstrated thoroughness and attention to details
- Resilient and driven attitude towards challenges.
- Have a real interest in Formation Evaluation
- Motivated by the field service lifestyle
- Excellent and complete problem solving skills, reporting findings to manager and customer
- Must be willing to work outside Norway when required
- Fluent English
- Valid driving license
Desired Characteristics:
- Norwegian language competence is an advantage
- Ideally we would prefer candidates with a permanent residence in the Stavanger or Bergen areas of Norway.
