Our Project Engineering Services Department based in Oslo has excellent opportunities for talented individuals who can strengthen our devoted discipline team and support our ambitious growth plans within the engineering, construction, maintenance, modification, offshore wind, fish farms and operations market. The team consists of a group of enthusiastic professionals with Bachelor`s and Master`s degrees in engineering.

We are currently looking for an experienced professional who understands the complexity of onshore and offshore construction (constructability) activities within the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design phase. The position will be based in Oslo and will be a member of the tender team with the responsibilities to guide and support the Engineering division from FEED to final stage of the project. The role requires travelling and working onshore, inshore and offshore on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and abroad for shorter or longer periods.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Medium-term goal is to embed project improvements and to review and initiate further construction related improvements and efficiencies
• Long-term goal is to become demonstrably best in class and drive improvement and efficiency
• Support the tender team and enter into a construction position at later stage
• Assign work scopes within the onshore / offshore construction, completion and commissioning team
• Manage the project discipline team to ensure timely delivery of relevant project deliverables
• Enhance and drive efficiencies of processes and procedures from scope initiation to close out and ensure that HSE expectations are met onshore and offshore
• Ensure full alignment with onshore and offshore work activities, follow up the compliance with procedures and work packs and carry out offshore team briefings
• Be familiar with and actively promote the Aker Solutions Operating System, HSE&Q policies, principles and Just Care

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

• Minimum Bachelor`s Degree in an engineering or construction discipline
• 10+ years of experience with participating in construction activities in major projects onshore, offshore, on FPSO units, floating operating moored vessels, semi-submersible platfoms, etc.
• Previous experience of providing input and advice towards construction and company strategy
• In-depth understanding of the Oil & Gas industry from tender phase to final project and delivery
• Knowledge of and commitment to manpower estimation, planning and cost control
• Motivated by offshore project work both on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and abroad
• Open mind for other cultures when working abroad
