Aker Solutions has recently secured new long-term contracts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the project portfolio in Trondheim is rapidly expanding. We are now recruiting several new employees to strengthen our teams and prepare for future growth.
We now have an opening for  position as Senior Piping&Layout Engineer in Aker Solutions Trondheim.

 Responsibilities and tasks:

• Piping and Layout design development within allocated areas and systems on existing platform
• Experienced with 3D software PDMS (Design, Spooling, drawing production) 
• Material handling 
• Experienced with 2D software (Microstation or Autocad) o Piping Stress analysis (I.e. Triflex, Sesam or equivalent)
• LCI, MTO 
• Take layout responsibility and be a driving element to achieve multidiscipline solutions timely
• Able to design new lines in existing areas with use of 3D model, scanning and measurement
• Site visits will be required

 Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Minimum 5-10years` experience
• Experience in various phases of a project; Early phase, FEED and detail design
• Willingness to work in a modern, dynamic and international environment
• Some travels might be required (Domestic, International and offshore surveys) 
• Willingness to occasionally work in split-location teams across borders 
• Software Skills: MicroStation, PDMS
• Language Skills:Written and Oral Norwegian and English
