Financial Business Service Team- Senior Accountant

At CGI, the Financial Business Service Team (FBS) is responsible for the overall accounting process. To strengthen our capabilities in Norway, we are looking for a Senior Accountant / Manager who, as the local FBS Lead, can offer his/her specialist expertise in IFRS and local Norwegian GAAP, VAT, payroll compliance, annual reports and tax returns. This is a leading specialist role in the finance team of CGI Norway.

As the FBS Lead, you have the opportunity to develop the role, and take more responsibility over time, as CGI is an exciting company with a high rate of change. You will have multiple contact areas throughout the company, in Norway and internationally, and gain a deep insight into CGI's financial processes.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Accounting, monthly closing, and reconciliation of balance sheet

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all asset and liability balance sheet accounts, in accordance with IFRS and Norwegian GAAP

• Manage statutory audit with external auditors

• Ensuring correct taxation; VAT returns, and income tax returns

• Accounting and Tax compliance expert for Norway

• Contributing to, and implementing efficiencies and standardization programs

• Support our business controllers with analysis and improvements

• Financial integration when acquiring companies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Essential Qualifications

• • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP

  • Must exhibit strong analytical skills with an eye for detail

  • At least 5 years of experience area relevant to the role

  • Very good communication skills, in both English and Norwegian

Education and Certification
