We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Reliability Engineer with solid background in planning and implementation of technology qualification programs. 

Due to increased activity, we are looking for a new colleague within our Product Development Department. The work will mainly consist of providing technical reliability support and guidance to our development projects and technology programs.
The position will require that you can work independently as well as in in a team. For the right candidate Oceaneering can offer exciting work assignments on national and international projects along with our dedicated and professional teams in Stavanger and Houston.

You have to be prepared to spend shorter periods of time at our offices internationally.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Support new technology development programs in planning and implementing technology qualification activities
• Support technology development teams to design inherent reliability into equipment using Design for Reliability tools and techniques
• Identify and internally verify and validate the testing requirements for new technology qualification
• Lead/facilitate workshops on Technology Maturity Assessment, Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
• Prepare TMA and FMECA reports
• Use appropriate reliability assessment techniques to make component and system reliability predictions
• Provide input on the execution of the reliability demonstration testing, analyzing test results
• Identify and define accelerated life testing requirements
• Prepare reliability analysis report.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers

Qualifications and personal qualities 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science or equivalent degree
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as an engineer
• Strong mathematical and statistical background
• Experience leading / facilitating FMECA workshops
• Experience developing system reliability models for repairable and non-repairable systems
• Experience in handling equipment failures arising during manufacture and/or operations
• Knowledge of processes for designing, manufacturing, assessing and assuring reliability performance in projects and/or operations is required
• Leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Collaborative and continuous improvement mindset
