Höegh LNG is seeking a Category Manager Indirect spend to join our global procurement team at Skøyen in Oslo. The position will report to the Head of Global Procurement.
Job description
The role is new in HLNG and the right candidate will have the opportunity to be part of designing new procedures, tools and KPIs for indirect spend. We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in defining business needs, driving sourcing and negotiations, as well as post award contract management. The establishment of the role is part of the companys drive towards further improving operational excellence, and emphasis will be on improving profit margins, efficient work processes and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for indirect spend categories, including consultancy services, legal services, facility management, IT, insurance, etc
- Lead A-Z procurement activities and projects, i.e. define need, market analysis, procurement strategy, sourcing, negotiations, contracting, implementation and contract management
- Develop category strategies for indirect spend category
- Develop value adding procedures and tools for sourcing, contract- and category management
- Ensure compliance with external and internal policies, regulations and laws
- Monitor savings and define budget impact (cost benefit-tracking)
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering, Economics or equivalent MSc/MBA preferred
- Relevant contract and sourcing experience, minimum 4 years
- Consulting experience within procurement/SCM
- Proved track record in sourcing and contract management - indirect spend
- Proficient in relevant contract standards for indirect spend
- Preferably experience from international supplier markets
- Experience from developing procurement processes and category management
- Strong analytical skills
