Do you want to work with plant growth in projects related to plant and maintenance of lawns and sports grounds, parks and rehabilitation of areas?
Due to a large amount of assignments within soil / plant science research and consultancy, we are looking for a new researcher on grass to green plants. The place of work will be Landvik near Grimstad.
Job description
The work will alternate between following up research projects with scientific and popular science reporting, and conducting consulting services and follow-up of customers in Norway and abroad. The person selected will be given special responsibility for following up the R & D market for grass to golf courses in the Nordic region, and he / she must be able to disseminate research results through presentations, lectures and articles in Nordic and English language journals and web pages.
Professional qualifications (required)
- Education in Plant Sciences / Earth Sciences - preferably in combination, or corresponding relevant subject at doctoral or master's level
- Knowledge of experimental work and treatment of experimental data
- Good oral and written ability
- English oral and written
- Persons without Norwegian as mother tongue have to commit themselves to learn written and spoken Norwegian within two years
Will be evaluated positively
- Knowledge of grass care: Species / varieties, fertilization, plant diseases, establishment and maintenance
- Knowledge of the Norwegian or Nordic green industry, especially sports grass
- Experience with project management, project work
- Driving license class B
- Knowledge in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language

- Ability to work efficiently, independently and accurately
- Responsible and targeted
- Flexible and good cooperative skills with colleagues and clients
- Likes outdoor fieldwork, good workmanship and can stand a little extra when needed
Salary and benefits
The position is remunerated according to the Norwegian State Salary Scale as Researcher code 1108 or code 1109, salary grade 53 - 72 (NOK 464 800 - 658 300 per year), commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The researcher will be part of a group where the project portfolio will be adapted to competence profiles and professional interests.
