We are now looking for experienced and motivated Senior Safety Engineer- Safety Instrumented Systems

Aker Solutions has recently secured new long-term contracts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the project portfolio in Bergen is rapidly expanding. We are now recruiting several new employees to strengthen our teams and prepare for future growth.

Aker Solutions Safety & Environment department based in Bergen consists of highly qualified Safety & Environment engineers. The engineers are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services. 

We now have an opening for position as Senior Safety Engineer - Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) in Aker Solutions Bergen.

 Responsibilities and tasks:

• Primary function is design, implementation and documentation of safety instrumented functions in the project
• This includes follow-up of functional safety management plan, SIL definition and allocation and verification of SIL compliance
• The work shall be in accordance with IEC61508/11 and NOG guideline 070
• The safety SIS engineer has responsibility for the complete engineering, follow-up of internal disciplines, follow-up of vendors and vendor documentation (incl. calculations)

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Well documented experience with safety instrumented systems for oil and gas offshore integration
• Knowledge and use of PDS method is required
• Excellent working knowledge of current regulations and standards, e.g. IEC and NOG
• Language Skills: Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English
