1463 - Financial Analyst

On behalf of our client we are searching for a Financial Analyst.

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for taking action to ensure transactions impacting the financial reports are properly monitored, controlled and posted to the general ledger in the proper period.
The position can be responsible for a cost center, accounting process or a fiscal/legal entity. The FA will also be responsible for providing management with monthly reports to assist in decision-making.

Position Responsibilities:

• Control and preparation of general ledger entries accruals/provisions, allocations, corrections etc
• Balance sheet accounts review of associated BS notes.
• Control over system posting and reporting.
• Ad Hoc reporting, analysis or projects as required.
• Assist with next year budget and rolling forecast
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures and SOX requirements.
• Provide assurance of the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.
• P&L variance analysis including mthly review of detailed revenue and cost transactions explaining any deviations against forecast and changes compared to last months actuals.
• Review and go through monthly reporting package with operations / P&L owner.

Qualifications:

• Finance or accounting degree
• Previous experience required – preferably a minimum of 2 years
• English Language
• Attention to detail
• Microsoft Excel (Intermediate/Advanced)
• Previous work experience in AX / SAP preferred
