Risk Analyst Unsecured

We are looking for a self-motivated Risk Analyst to join our Unsecured Risk team. The ideal candidate has knowledge of statistics, working with data and/or machine learning and is eager to learn more. Areas of responsibility / Role description

• Manage and improve underwriting strategies and tools including scorecards, manual policies and line assignment
• Optimize the existing risk profile/ cut offs (pricing to risk, custom segment cut offs) and policies through statistics and machine learning; Devise and implement strategies for improving Portfolio profitability through risk optimization
• Credit risk analysis and modelling of loan portfolios
• Proactively define accurate decision strategies to optimize approval rates, write rates while maintaining risk level within the set Risk Appetite for the portfolio.
• Deliver U/W support for operational functions
• Improve and maintain solid reporting framework for internal and external stakeholders to assess portfolio quality, concentration risks, exposure levels on defined segments etc. in cooperation with the rest of the risk team
• Develop, monitor, analyze and implement champion challengers on an ongoing basis.
• Participate in Risk projects locally and, where applicable, with Nordics to ensure timely delivery with high quality.
• Maintain and enhance local credit policies for Unsecured and ensure proper documentation for decision on changes of credit policy and credit strategies.

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelors or Master Degree in statistics, economics, mathematics or equivalent
• Ideally experience with data science, portfolio credit risk and/or credit scoring
• High quantitative and analytical competence and capacity
• Ability to translate business challenges to statistical analysis, and vice versa
• Experience working with data warehouse would be an advantage
• Knowledge of SAS, SQL, R and Excel, can be compensated with other programming knowledge
• Candidates can be considered even if the experience is not according to the requirements above
