The main R&D laboratory is located in Sandefjord and is one of the largest private owned research centers in Northern Europe.

Our new and experienced microbiologist will work in our Biology laboratory in a team of three microbiologists working closely with the product development laboratories for Decorative Paints worldwide. The job will consist of efficacy testing, R&D project work and follow up on regulations for the use of biocides in all regions.

Tasks

Ensure that the biological aspects of all Decorative products are in line with the "best in test" assertion
Evaluate efficacy of biocides for dry-film and wet-state preservation
Field testing of products containing dry-film preservatives
Design, execute and report experimental work in the laboratory
Assist in regulatory matters concerning the use of preservatives in products
Contribute technically in cross-functional operations with other internal segments

Qualifications

Practical experience from prevention of fungal and/or algal colonization of surfaces or experience with preservation of liquids, foods or cosmetics
The right person should enjoy laboratory work and have a good technical and theoretical background
Knowledge of regulatory issues on the use of preservatives is beneficial
