Rolls-Royce Electric Norway AS is a new division of the Rolls-Royce global innovation hub. We develop electric technology from an early concept level, through building and testing prototypes, to products entering the market. Rolls-Royce in Trondheim delivers services and products to the marine market, aero, power generation and oil & gas. Electric machines will replace fossil fuel engines in several sectors, and we want to pioneer this change.

Our new organization is set up for agility and speed to deliver state of the art solutions for a changing world. Due to our workload, including E-Fan X (the world’s largest hybrid aviation project) we need to expand our team to rise to our new challenge.

The new entity is building up our own local administration where purchasing is the one of the core functions. As the projects are prototypes we need a purchaser that is agile enough to work with special orders and new suppliers. You are expected to work with frame agreements for standard deliveries and special contract for special purpose supply. The purchaser will need to work closely with the engineering team and report to the Head of Operations. After the orders are set you will have to follow up delivery and quality.   

Preferred qualifications (We encourage you to apply even if not all the qualifications are met.):

• Relevant education at degree level
• Experience in direct/indirect purchasing/supply chain management preferably in marine, automotive, power & energy or aerospace industry
• Understand and able to operate supplier relationship management
• Possess a global outlook with exposure to different challenges, cultures and work style
• Quality inspections
