EMGS is the market leader in electromagnetic (EM) technology. We acquire and process high-quality marine controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) data, currently with a new suite of stronger and better equipment that allows exploration companies to use EM for smaller targets and at greater depths than before. Due to the belief in our technology we are now strengthening our operations with a passionate Geoscientist who will be part of our main data processing center in Oslo.

Job summary

As a Geophysicist you will perform survey planning, and processing & imaging of EM data. You will carry out feasibility studies, take part in the sales process and support on interpretation studies.

Core responsibilities

•Produce quality products in accordance with EMGS standards and client expectations
•Document project results and present to the client
•Perform sensitivity studies, survey planning and data processing
•Perform imaging projects
•Contribute to interpretation projects
•Communicate with clients on a technical level
•Build good client working relationships, and contribute in client training
•Participate in sales meetings
•Generate technical sales material

Qualifications

The minimum requirements are an MSc degree in Geophysics or a related field + minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience or a BSc degree + minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience
