What you will do
Based in Stavanger, Norway with our Supply Chain Team, you will oversee import and export of products globally. This include implementing processes and systems for tracking shipment status and ensuring the accuracy of import and export document.
•Advise and monitor globally the Tariff codes for components and finished goods
•Monitor the performance of European, Asian and American customs brokers and ensure timely customs clearance.
•Work closely with carriers, brokers and internal departments to coordinate accurate reporting to involved government agencies.
•Proactively address regulatory requirements and strive for continuous process improvement and knowledge sharing internally
About you
You hold a relevant bachelor’s degree and 4 – 7 years’ experience or a master’s degree with 2 – 5 years’ experience. Experience as a Customs Broker Licensed or Certified Customs & Export Specialist is strongly preferred.
•Full knowledge of tariff classification with > 3 years of classification experience is required
•Broad experience with ERP/Warehouse Management/Transportation Management Systems
•Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to interact at all levels of the organization is required
•Knowledge of Lean methodology/continuous improvement
•Strong analytical problem-solving skills are required along with attention to detail.
•Highly organized and acute attention to detail required
•Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are critical for this role
•Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time appropriately
