Arbeidsoppgaver
- Ability to travel frequently to offshore rigs and international hardship locationsPlans, conducts and supervises assignments of others
- Managing small to medium IT related projects, coordinating with the customer, allocating time and resource and taking responsibility for results.
- Recommends changes in procedures
- Install and configure servers in a Microsoft Windows environment, as assigned
- Manage and support servers in a Microsoft Windows environment to ensure backup, performance and uptime are optimalReviews progress and evaluates results of team
- May act in liaison capacity with other departments
- Support and administer server-based enterprise applications including email and patch management
- Provide phone and remote management support to diagnose IT issues and resolve problems
- Provide support to other IT teams to assist in the diagnosis of problems related to server equipmentVisit remote offices and rigs
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks on rig and remote office servers and desktop/laptop PC's check the data backup procedures and tape management is being handled correctly.
- Take the lead in evaluating new equipment, testing and determing suitability for deployment
- Provide customer end user training on the use of company equipment and software, stay current with changing IT technology and software developments and perform any other special tasks or assignments as required by supervisor.
- Provide training and mentoring for junior members of staffOversee the maintenance of accurate documentation relating to IT products and services, for example, rig visits, scope of work and rig visit summary reports.
- Manage ITSM tickets to ensure approriate prioritization and escalation of issues both internally and to other IT teamsOther tasks as the joe requires
Kvalifikasjoner
- Minimum required 5 to 8 years experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Windows servers in LAN, WAN and remote environments. Preferred 8 years
- IT related college or university qualification
- HP and Dell Server/Tape Drive/UPS/PC/Laptop experience
- Windows desktop operating systems
- Windows server operating systems
- Network (Firewall) and TCP/IP troubleshooting (Cisco experience preferred)
- Wireless Technologies (Cisco AP, etc.)
- VoIP (Cisco and Avaya)
- Citrix
- Microsoft Active Directory management and troubleshooting
- Microsoft Exchange 2010 (or Recent). Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (or Recent) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2008 (or Recent)
- Microsoft SCCM
- Symantec A/V and Symantec Backup Exec
