Wintershall Norge is seeking a Senior Completion Engineer onshore in Stavanger for our Brage fixed installation operations.

A self-motivated and independently working individual with minimum 10 years relevant experience is preferred.

Tasks

Independently design well completions to meet the objective of the well project and in accordance to governing regulations and Wintershall processes and procedures with high focus on well integrity throughout the lifetime of the project.
Prepare relevant input to key planning documents, completion/intervention/ workover activity programs, HAZOP/ risk assessments, budget cost estimates, AFE's, consents, detailed operation procedures, handover documentation and final well report are in place within timeframe.
Communication and cooperation with other departments in pre-planning and execution phases to align a common understanding of objectives and tasks.
Execute the completion/intervention/ workover programs in accordance with objectives set out for safety and environmental performance and provide onshore technical support to the operations, with aim of optimum efficiency. If required support operations from offshore
Investigation and follow up of equipment failures or performance deficiencies, ensure lessons learned are recorded and distributed as appropriate, calculation of cost impact and recommendation of remedial measures (continuous improvement).
Follow up completion related contracts and ensure compliance with procurement process, provide technical input and evaluation to tenders and contracts as required.
Prepare and be responsible for handover documentation (prior to handling well over from D&W to production department).
Ensure long lead items are ordered in due time.
Participate in audits and verifications of partners, contractors and service companies.

Qualifications

BSc degree in petroleum engineering or similar relevant education required. MSc preferred.
Minimum 10 years experience in D&W operations.
Relevant experience and sound technical understanding of planning and execution of offshore completions/workover operations.
Good knowledge of regulations and relevant standards.
Relevant offshore experience.
Good understanding of reservoir management.
Sound knowledge of well planning and execution software.
Experience with contract management and tender evaluation is desired.
