Fleet Planner in our Commercial Department

Saga Welco AS is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated applicant to be a part of the Head Quarter Commercial Team. The position is a temporary position starting 1 June 2020,  lasting for approx 12 months, with possibilities for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Assignment and responsibilities:

• Assist and support the Senior Fleet Manager and the Commercial Managers in their daily activities
• Assist in managing the fleet assignment to cover contractual obligations
• Assist in managing the regional Offices with regard to fleet assignment and scheduling
• Assist in the development of the company’s strategic business process and optimizing new software systems
• Maintain updated market analysis for chartering and strategic planning
• Update and maintain commercial templates, such as contract documentation and market statistics
• Assist in the filing of contracts and booking agreements
• Act as deputy within the Fleet Planner team for tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the Senior Fleet Manager
• Reporting to the Senior Fleet Manager

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and commitment to flexible workload
• Higher education with minimum Bachelor degree qualification
• Good command of the English language, both written and oral
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Experience in the use of voyage estimation and operations management systems is an advantage
