Working offshore with EMGS includes traveling abroad, working in new areas of the world and learning to know new cultures. As a crew member on board you will be part of a highly skilled technical team, with clear goals for the operation and motivating work tasks.
Main focus of the Field Engineer / Geophysicist position
The Field Geophysicist is responsible for quality control of CSEM data, data processing and reporting onboard our vessels.
The Field Geophysicist is also responsible for communication towards other departments as well as our clients in matters regarding data quality.
Roles and responsibilities
•Processing and quality control of CSEM data.
•Communicate closely with other departments offshore and onshore.
•Administration and maintenance of the onboard Data Acquisition and Processing equipment.
•Contribution on improvements and development projects.
•Participation in preventive and corrective maintenance of all EMGS Data Acquisition equipment on board.
Qualifications
•Master degree in electronics, mathematics, physics, geophysics, cybernetics or equivalent engineering disciplines.
•Good computer skills and knowledge of Linux environment is an advantage.
•Good HSE awareness, including the ability to identify/report hazards, risks, and unsafe behaviors on the vessel.
Personal skills
•Team player with good interpersonal skills.
•Fluency in English.

Offshore worldwide on a 5/5 rotation
