Norsk Titanium is currently seeking Machine Vision Engineer with good programming background focusing on RPD system technology development supporting our business model. As an Engineer at Norsk Titanium’s Eggemoen Technology Center (ETC), you will be a key contributor to NTi becoming a world-leading manufacturer of RPD™ components and machines. Work Description:
You will be part of the Machine Design & Delivery (MDD) team at ETC, where our patented, and revolutionary RPD™ technology is developed. You will collaborate with experts within software, metallurgy, automation, process control, sensors and mechanical design. The role will strengthen the MDD team and improve our RPD™ process and machine development.
The main responsibility in the role will be to support the integration of optical sensors and to develop data analysis algorithms to support the RPDTM system process monitoring and control.
Key Work Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support the development of automatic process monitoring systems, this includes sensor identification, illumination selection, controller selection, processing software development, and programming input-output interfaces
- Identify and specify sensor needs and requirements, and collaborate with sensor and analysis experts in development and implementation
- Support the integration (including testing) of the developed hardware and software onto the machines in collaboration with automation specialists
Key Profile Characteristics:
- Bachelors or master’s degree in Image Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent educational with background in fundamentals of imaging and signal or image processing technologies
- Good programming skills: C/C++, C# (including .Net framework) or equivalent high level programming languages is a must.
- Experience with image processing libraries: OpenCV/EmguCV, Halcon or similar.
- Basic background in multicore programming/GPU programming (CUDA) is a plus
- Background in algorithm development, mathematical data analysis, statistical analysis, code optimization, and software development is essential
- Proactive, self-driven and eager to learn
- Structure and accuracy in daily work
- Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams
- Creative with ability to improve product development and production methods
- Strong communication and documentation skills
