KM 18-115 Automation Instructor

KM Training & Advisory offers operational and technical training to seafarers worldwide. To ensure efficient operation and maintenance of delivered systems, we must offer world class training. We are looking for a new instructor in the product field K-Chief 700 automation system, to join our team of automation instructors at the headquarter in Kongsberg.

The position reports to Team manager, Training & Advisory

 Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Prepare, carry through and evaluate courses
• Participate in development of new courses
• Organize lab/simulator/classroom and update equipment used in courses
• Keep up-to-date on course material, rules and regulations within your field of expertise
• Collaborate with the Global training organization and other relevant departments
• Participate in Advisory assignments for ship-owners providing guidance on operations, procedures, routines and documentation

Requirements:

• Operational experience with automation systems on vessels
• Experience as a Cargo Engineer, Chief Engineer or Captain/Master on LNG, FPSO, FSRU or equivalent
• Fluent spoken and written English language
• Experienced and skilled in the use of IT tools
• Experience with Kongsberg automation systems is preferable
