Development Engineer - Come join us making a leading international solar company

A good start-up with significant ambitions  requires a good management team and investors who believe in us. Yet, we are nothing without the best Engineers. We are therefore seeking an experienced Development Engineer who will be responsible for design and analysis of floating solar power plants. Sound interesting? Well there is more to this role of course. 

The work tasks are related to product development of systems delivered to power producers globally. Main responsibilities will be to ensure structural integrity and seaworthiness of floating solar systems, balancing requirements between cost optimisation, material selection, manufacturing, product standardisation and construction codes. This activity requires good education, knowledge and an interest in design tools and the finite element method. Additionally you will of course be an important player within the company and our product development and launch. In other words; a great opportunity to make an impact.

Who are you?

Experience and education from design and structural calculations is a must. Additionally we require someone who has good knowledge of post-processing and results presentations as well as relevant curriculum from naval architecture, machine, construction design or similar. It is perhaps just as important that you have a strong interest in product development and technology qualification and that you really want to be part of something new and exciting. And finally; we do require that you speak Norwegian at a minimum of B2 level.
