Vice President, Head of Governance

The Group Ethics and Compliance unit in Telenor reports directly to the President and CEO of Telenor Group. Our unit has a clear mandate to build a strong global team of highly competent, professional and experienced people who will work hard every day to ensure that Telenor is a trusted business partner with high integrity. Our mission is to have in place a world class compliance program and as a part of the team you would participate in this journey of innovation, global leadership and promoting high integrity across Telenor. The role reports to SVP, Chief Compliance Officer.

We are looking for a new team member with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset. You like to work in an environment where you can challenge, build and innovate. You have a can-do attitude and you are passionate about our business and want to contribute to continuously improve and develop best practices in Telenor. You will be in charge of policy management for our business units and work out from our headquarter at Fornebu in Norway.

Job description

• You will be responsible for policy management
• You will be responsible for supporting Telenor in all aspects of  the compliance program design, implementation and follow-up
• You will be a part of the Group Compliance Leadership team and is expected to add value to the global compliance program
• You will be responsible for supporting other stakeholders in implementation and follow-up of the compliance program

Personal qualities

• You are a person who has the ability to think strategically, see the ?big picture? and solve complex tasks as well as paying attention to details
• You have the ability to work well in cross-functional processes and leading others
• You have good business understanding and strong communication skills. Telenor values innovation and cooperation and you fit right in if you are flexible with big work-load capacity
• You have the ability to handle several work streams in parallel while ensuring that targets are reached
• You are able to drive processes forward and motivate co-workers

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree in law if preferred, but we also think business administration or other relevant degrees is relevant
• Experience of leading others
• Solid and relevant work experience from one or more of the following fields: Law, Risk Management or Corporate Compliance matters
• Experience in managing stakeholders at top management level
• Proven good communication skills
• Fully fluent in English
• International travel is required
