For our HQ in Horten, we are currently looking for a qualified and experienced
“Senior IT Engineer”
This position will be an addition to our existing IT team in Horten with focus on day to day monitoring, operations and maintenance of our server, network and storage infrastructure.
You will be working to keep our infrastructure safer by keeping it up-to-date and in-line with the internal policies and QA regiment. Working with great accuracy and managing risk is of great importance to ensure smooth and stable operations at all times.
You must have previous experience running a virtual stack from top to bottom (Storage, Network, Hosts, Management, VMs).
We are looking for a team player with good communication skills and commitment to success through teamwork and personal targets and objectives.
He/she must also be able to advice, propose, make and efficiently execute plans related to the IT Infrastructure. With a proactive and professional mind-set he/she will assist Management to select efficient solutions to fit the needs of the Company.
The position will have flexible working conditions and work hours. Evening and weekend work will be part of the job, since many maintenance tasks will be executed outside normal work hours during scheduled maintenance windows.
The position reports to Manager IT.

QUALIFICATIONS/PERSONAL SKILLS

We prefer that you have relevant higher education.
(Relevant and documented experience can compensate for the education requirement.)
Several years' experience in running and operating a virtual stack for a commercial company or an organization is required. Alternatively acting as a 3rd party consultant for the same purpose.
Practical experience with networking/routing, SAN/iSCSI/NAS, Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and infrastructure services (Active Directory etc).
Practical experience with technologies as: Fortigate, HP-E Procurve/Aruba, VMware vCenter/vSphere/Horizon, Equallogic, Compellent and Linux operating systems is a plus but not required
You must be structured, proactive and able to make and execute detail plans.
You must be able to handle stressful and high-pressure situations
Excellent oral and writing skills in English and preferably also in Norwegian.
