PUN's Reservoir Engineers provide a significant and important contribution to our Upstream business. The work require untraditional thinking and excellent technical knowledge because the work involves the conversion of petrophysical, geological and geophysical data into reservoir models. By developing sustainable plans, estimating oil and gas production rates and recommending placement of exploration, appraisal and development wells for highest possible value generation, your direct contribution will affect how  exploration, appraisal and project strategies are formulated to ensure safe and robust developments of our assets. In PUN our reservoir engineers work in multi-disciplined teams in order to develop new groundbreaking energy solutions that will contribute towards solving the future energy challenge.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Build and use of advanced numerical simulation models for calculation of oil and gas production from new and existing fields
  • Formulate drainage strategies for fields in the development phase
  • Evaluate and propose IOR and EOR methods
  • Identify new or infill well targets and analyze production performance and propose well work-over candidates
  • Use probabilistic simulation work flows to estimate ranges in field performance forecasts and reserves
  • History match reservoir model
  • Cooperate with our other professionals in order to develop sustainable economic development plans for oil and gas reservoirs
  • Represent PGNiG in Reservoir Committees   
  • Provide support in Exploration and  license aquisition  

Qualifications

  Preferably Master of Science degree, Bachelor of Science is required

Personal qualities

  • Reservoir Engineer with reservoir modelling skills, preferably with Petrel and Eclipse experience
  • Good understanding in G&G, petrophysics and production/operations related issues
  • Experience in Reservoir Characterization (special core analysis, logging etc.)
  • Good understanding in Fluid Characterization (Equations of state, fluid sampling, etc.)
  • Basic Well testing design, execution and pressure transient analysis
  • Good communication skills
  • Multi discipline understanding
  • Fluent oral and written skills in Norwegian and English languages
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

The Skarv and Vilje fields and the Ærfugl and the Skogul projects are operated by AkerBP, the Gina Krog and Morvin fields are operated by Equinor and the Vale field is operated by Spirit Energy. These assets provide a stable basis for our strategic plan to further expand our presence on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
