Business Analyst

We wish to strengthen our Accounting department and are looking for a Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will be part of our Regulatory Reporting team in Arendal with responsibility for regulatory reporting to Financial Supervisory Authorities in Norway, Bermuda and other jurisdictions where the Gard Group has legal entities and/or branches. This is a permanent position in our office in Arendal.

The Business Analyst will develop a distinct knowledge about solvency capital and regulatory reporting requirements around the world, the functioning of the global insurance business, and the companies within the Gard Group.

The Business Analyst will use proper tools to ensure high level of accuracy and timely reporting, as well as analyse the reporting requirements set by regulators, and set up reporting tools by using automatic data retrieval where possible.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and ensure quality of regulatory reports and timely reporting

• Collect data and maintain databases for regulatory reporting

• Build and document models and systems for regulatory reporting purposes

• Monitor regulatory reporting requirements

• Communicate and build relationships with financial services authorities

• Communicate and build relationships within the company

Skills and requirements:

• A Master in Business and Economics or the equivalent

• Excellent command of IT tools

• Experience with accounting and/or financial reporting will be an advantage

• Very strong analytical skills

• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.

• Strong interpersonal skills
