Baker Hughes has an opening within their Fluids Technology Group for an Applications Engineer.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Co-ordination, execution and evaluation of the laboratory activities.
- Focal point for Advantage and BORE support.
- Ensuring internal and external compliance with QA and HS&E policy.
- Development and training of personnel reporting to position.
- Deliver requested lab equipment to the base and offshore laboratories and maintain calibration records.
- Cooperation with other BHDF laboratories.
- Assist in recommendations and solutions to the offshore operations.
- Participation in technical aspects of tenders.
- Assist in the preparation of technical department budget.
- Sales, client visits and entertainment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering subject.
- Solid background of experience within Drilling Fluids.
- Solid background and strong working knowledge across a broad range of drilling fluids tools and services.
- A proven ability to recognise, analyse and solve technical issues, coupled with a process oriented working style
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable with abstract, conceptual thinking regarding to processes, workflows, and technical systems.
- Clear language and communication skills are essential.
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Desired Characteristics:
- Fluent in written technical English and experienced with Baker Hughes software packages, as well as common office software.
