Description

Great User Experiences are built on a solid foundation. We are looking for a developer that can create web interfaces and services which will help FotoWare transition smoothly from an on-premise monolithic solution to a horizontally scalable SaaS offering. With the changing technology landscape, you are a forward-thinking software developer that embraces new technology and comes up with innovative ways of embedding it into our existing products. As a Software Developer at FotoWare, you are a part of FotoWare's product development team. Our team uses agile methodologies to ensure smooth delivery, and you will contribute and make suggestions to how we can improve our processes. You will be involved in all aspects of the development of new products and features according to FotoWare's current strategy and vision. You take ownership of our products and strive towards delivering high-quality products to the end user. Our solution yields high customer retention rates and solid, maintainable code bases are essential for future product quality.

Responsibilities 

  • Help define the product vision and strategy, to grow our business and be ready for the future
  • Help continually improve our products through a combination of experience, experimentation and responding to customer feedback
  • Drive product innovation by building prototypes and proof of concepts.
  • Act as a technical lead for offshore developers such as front-end developers and test automation engineers
  • Taking part in the design and specification processes for FotoWare's product range
  • Taking part in the development process for FotoWare’s product range
  • Help the Quality Assurance team create and execute test plans
  • Assist Support Specialists in their work when support incidents are escalated

Personal Qualities

  • Team player, who works well independently and takes responsibility and ownership
  • Has an inner drive and is able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Capable of manage and process large workloads
  • Curious about new technology and how it can benefit our customers
  • Has a growth mindset and is willing to learn new skills
  • Positive, kind, friendly and service minded Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years of experience with Software Development
  • A proven track record of taking initiative and driving change
  • Relevant Education in software development, or real-world experience to match
  • Excellent full stack programming skills; masters HTML/Javascript and Microsoft .NET (C#).
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and capability of building long-term codebases.
  • Experience with modern web technologies, such as RESTful APIs and MVC patterns.
  • Knowledge of cloud offerings and services, experience with Microsoft Azure services is beneficial
  • Fluency in English, and preferably in Norwegian
