The Area Sales Manager is Bergen Engines focal point facing both internal and external customers worldwide. The Area Sales Manager supports the BEAS aftermarket service organization by pro-actively promote and sell BEAS products and services through the Rolls-Royce Marine Service market, locally and worldwide.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Be pro-active by visiting customer on a regular and planned basis
  • Develop strong, long-term, business relationships with customer
  • Act as single point of contacts when required on difficult company issues, with end-customers and to coordinate complex customer problems internal and external
  • Provide feedback and direction to any BEAS department on all matters of: opportunity, competition, loss, changes, problem of marketing intelligence and strategy worldwide
  • Develop and at all time maintain a detailed sales plan
  • Provide sales support to customers, focusing on satisfying customer requirements and growth
  • Handover meetings with BEAS project team for successful negotiation of commercial conditions on service contracts, projects and upgrades
  • Customer`s key contact regarding complaints/issues, support RRM customer complaint process (RCI), ensuring timely escalation and resolution 
  • Some traveling must be expected

 

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of the industry and market
  • Good technical understanding of RRM Marine Engines and equipment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • English and Scandinavian language is a requirement
  • Experience in previous roles, preferably within the Marine Industry
