Are you a Piping Engineer with Valve PRE experience?

Aker Solutions has recently secured new long-term contracts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the project portfolio in Bergen is rapidly expanding. We are now recruiting several new employees to strengthen our teams and prepare for future growth.

Aker Solutions Piping & Layout department based in Bergen consists of over 52 highly qualified Piping & Layout engineers. The engineers are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services.

We now have an opening for a position as Piping Engineer - Valve PRE in Aker Solutions Bergen.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Review design basis relevant for piping Review the piping specification, piping detail standard and relevant datasheets for the project
• Evaluate and perform valve selection for assigned project
• Execution and co-ordination of technical procurement activities of Procurement Packages
• Some travelling to suppliers on FAT may be required, and experience in such activities is preferred
• Establish PED category for relevant service codes and pipe sizes
• Knowledge to Aker's PEM (Project Execution Model) is beneficial

Qualifications / Personal Attributes:

• BSc in relevant subject
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• High communicative and cooperative skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand plan-schedules and work to tight deadlines
• To be able to undertake detailed and precise work
• Fluent in both English and Norwegian
