Purchaser

Our client MHWirth is currently seeking experienced a Purchaser for exciting new drilling projects within the oil and gas industry.

MHWirth's Supply Chain's ability to partner up with engineering and the right vendors with a strategic, global focus is crucial to our future success.

We are looking for highly motivated professionals who can manage and develop standard suppliers to meet competitive cost positions and service levels, favourable purchasing terms and cost efficient, accurate and on-time deliveries of goods, services and documentation.

Responsibilities and tasks 

• Supplier manager for selected suppliers 
• Performance evaluation and corrective actions
• Supplier strategy and development
• Frame agreements
• Creation and maintenance of relevant data in SAP and SQiS
• Execution and close follow-up of purchase to pay process
• Handle and escalate NCR where required
• Keep internal customers updated on the delivery status
• Support the material planner when applicable
• Support the strategic purchaser during the creation and implementation of category strategies
• Comply to MHWirth’s procedures, standards and instructions
• Participate in development, implementing, improving and maintaining sufficient work and SAP procedures, systems and processes to ensure work efficiency
• Take personal responsibility for HSE
• Promote and contribute to a safe and sound working environment

Deliveries

• Internal customers' satisfaction and professional business relations
• Supplier strategy including defined frame agreements
• Up-to-date status information and delivery date in SAP
• Invoice handling
• Quality and NCR handlingRegular performance evaluation and corrective actionsCorrect supplier and price data in SAP and SQiS

Qualifications & personal attributes 

• Bachelor or Master degree preferably in business, engineering, supply chain management or related discipline
• Over 3 years of relevant experience is desired
• Pro-active personality with strong drive and interpersonal skills
• Goal-oriented, flexible and service-minded attitude
• Good commercial, negotiation and contractual skills
• Good computer and analytical skills
• Good knowledge of SAP, logistics functions and technical specifications is preferred
• Good English skills both written and verbal
• Ability to engage with and adhere to MHWirth's values
