Systems Engineer - Battery Storage Solutions

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Technical Product Lead, the position as Systems Engineer for our Dolphin Energy ESS will be responsible for system level architecture, detailed technical specifications, analysis and to provide technical guidance for the product development team. Se link for more product information: https://corvusenergy.com/products/corvus-dolphin-energy/

Main responsibilities:

• Battery management system architecture and design; including integration of third-party hardware
• Ownership and maintenance of system and subsystem requirements and interfaces throughout the product development process
• Ownership and management of product documentation
• Contribute to the development of the core BMS algorithms for SOC, SOH, etc., and to verify the algorithms through testing and analysis
• Conduct technical reviews, including DFMEA and review of validation results       
• Supporting sustaining engineering and troubleshooting initiatives
• Participate in 8D and CAR activities as may be assigned
• PLC programming
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering in relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent
• 7+ years of relevant work experience is prefered, preferably within designing, developing and testing of energy storage or power electronics systems.
• Experience with Li-ion batteries and chemistry
• Experience in the marine industry or marine product development is an asset
• Experience from working in a multi-disciplinary engineering team
• Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and analysis skills
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Experience writing requirements documents, technical specifications and requirements management
