We are looking for a backend developer to strengthen our team in Oslo that focus on media monitoring. We monitor sources from from around the world to make sure our customers can stay informed using our media database, which spans over 100.000 media sources and terabytes of data. We see exciting possibilities for creating innovative services based on our data set using machine learning and big data analysis. We need your help to keep the system running smoothly while delivering value to our customers and upgrading the system to meet future needs.

We offer a workplace where the development teams are working in close collaboration with product managers, designers and quite recently also our new data unit. We share our knowledge and interests in cross-team meetings, internal conferences and lunch presentations.
Who are you?
- Experienced with Java and preferably a dynamic language such as Python or Ruby
- Experienced with relational databases and ideally index-based solutions like Elasticsearch or Solr
- Comfortable with a *NIX command prompt
- Interested in or have some experience with Machine Learning
- Last but not least; you care about software quality
What will you do?
- Build and improve our media monitoring system using modern cloud solutions such as Heroku, Amazon S3, Aurora and Elasticsearch Service
- Work mainly with backend and middleware, but some experience with web frontend development will be appreciated
- Cooperate with our teams in Sweden and Germany
- Continuously deliver value to thousands of users and millions of visitors
