The Commercial Sales Manager and Business Plan Support is responsible for all commercial aspects of customer bids for Subsea system business together with the proposal engineer from bid decision (PM20) to project handover (PM70).

She/He is also the main point of contact for all Subsea market data and supports with business planning for Subsea globally.

The location of the postition is Oslo (JobID298226) or Trondheim (JobID298232) and is a temporary position (maternity leave) for 1-1,5 year.

Main responsibilities consist of the following:

Commercial Sales Management

  • Prepares customer bids for Subsea system business together with the proposal engineer. Responsible for the commercial bid documents and ensures their quality and the timely submission including interface to Legal department
  • Prepares bid calculations based on input from the respective departments and ensures completion and  accuracy of the calculations
  • Reviews and negotiates customer contracts incl. T&C's together with the proposal engineer and the Legal department
  • Clarifies and agrees finance, hedging, tax and all accounting related issues with SFS and accounting departments during the bid phase
  • Owner of the Subsea standard calculation tool for system business; works on constant improvements and ensures alignment to the applicable sales calculation guidelines
  • Responsible for obtaining bid approvals for the financial and commercial aspects of the bid in line with the applicable Limits of Authority (LoA) guidelines
  • Responsible for the commercial and Legal project handover to the project execution team for Subsea system business

Market Intelligence:

  • Point of contact for external market intelligence agencies
  • Administration and analysis of market data for Siemens Subsea globally
  • Prepares and distributes updates on market information within the Subsea on a regular basis
  • Responsible for the Siemens internal Market Intelligence@Medium Voltage and Systems process for Subsea and ensures alignment and timely submission to headquarters

Business Cases/ -Valuation

  • Supports the Subsea sites in the preparation of business cases incl. DCF valuations and goodwill impairment tests based on market data and ensures data quality and consistency.
  • Contact person for local goodwill evaluation and impairment for internal and external auditors

Skills and experience

•       Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial sales or commercial project execution

•       Experience in contract reviews and negotiations

•       Experience in preparation of business cases and analysis of market data

•       Experience from working with a global head quarter preferred (in multi national organization)

•       Personal characteristics we look for are:action oriented, good presentation skills, analytical mind with the ability to subtract compact information from
