About the job:

We are looking for a passionate Solution Manager, who will strengthen our IT Development team in Visma IT & Communications.

As a Solution Manager, your primary task will be to design, implement and oversee application and service platforms in a complex technical environment.

You will be a member of the IT Development department, but you will work closely together with Operations in a DevOps model, making sure of building a sense of ownership in the squad and help operations gain sufficient knowledge to operate the platforms 24/7 and to participate in further development of the platforms.

You will execute your work in accordance with our process framework and you are expected to embrace and follow its rules and procedures.

Some of the most essential duties will be:

• Designing IT infrastructure and application/service run-time environments

• Implementation of and migration of large scale IT infrastructure and applications/services

• Close collaboration and technical lead supporting Service Management in tender phases with customers - create a common understanding of customer requests

• Working in a hybrid cloud environment; Visma Data Centers, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform

• Actively contribute to further developing of the  IT Development Department in cooperation with the Team manager/Director of IT Development

You will have the following skills:

• Education: Minimum Bachelors degree within IT area

• Experience in designing and implementing IT infrastructure and application/service run-time environments both on-premise and in public cloud

• Experience from larger IT operation environments

• Experience with automation and infrastructure as code

• Ability to derive technical requirements from business requirements

• Creative, positive, cooperative and solution oriented

• Systematic, organized and precise

• Customer and quality focused

• Self-driven team member, working good under pressure

• Ability to communicate fluently (verbal and written) in English

• Fast learner - research capabilities for obtaining required information

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with DevOps

• Experience with Agile processes

• OS agnostic

• Knowledge of Visma products

• Knowledge of, and/or experience with, ITIL-based processes

Technical qualifications within several of these fields :

• Microsoft Windows Server

• Microsoft Windows web technologies: (i.e. IIS, ASP.NET, ARR)

• Amazon Web Services

• Microsoft Azure

• Google Cloud Platform

• OpenStack

• Microsoft SQL Server

• Scripting (i.e. PowerShell, Python)
